In order to be able to develop offline, I wanted to have some Perl documentation in a handy format available. My requirements:

• copy of source code (no pdf)

• tablet friendly

• syntax color coding if possible

• iBook (Apple's reader on OSX) compatible

Trials with various "publishing pipelines" (Sigil, pod2epub, Daisy, asciidoc, Docbook) let eventually to Gitbook. Gitbook ticks all the boxes, with only minor shortcomings: YAML is not color coded yet.
